Which work stations from this book would you like to implement in your classroom? Share ideas on how to establish these stations in your classroom (include some ideas for differentiation and accountability).
Since I teach Math and Science this year...I don't have many "literacy workstations." I have a lot of hands on math stations. I would consider using a word study/vocabulary station to help reinforce the language that we are using in the Math and Science classes. If there is something in Science that we don't get to, but I want to the kids to be exposed to, I will put that information into a workstation and have some sort of assessment, whether it be a quick write in their journal..or some sort of activity to grade. To differentiate, I always have extenstions to go along with stations for my "early finishers". And, I try to design them for all levels to be independent.
