At these stations, I always had something for the kids to read, whether it be from a book or on the computer (brainpop for example). Then there was some kind of "checking for understanding" for them to do independently. For example, if we were talking about the layers of the Earth...the task card would say to : 1. Log In and watch Brainpop: Layers of the Earth. 2. Take the Online practice quiz. 3. illustrate a model of the Earth. 4. Label the layers and describe what they are made of
